When you create an account, we collect your email address and any nickname you choose to provide. When you submit a question or answer in the community, we store what you write along with your nickname and country if provided. We do not collect location data, device fingerprints, or ad-tracking data.

Account and community data are stored in Supabase (managed PostgreSQL, whose data centers may be located outside the EEA) and accessed via a server-side proxy. Login sessions are kept in httpOnly cookies that client-side scripts cannot read, reducing the risk of session theft. If you are in the EU/UK, your data may be transferred to and processed in countries outside the EEA; we require processors to have appropriate safeguards in place (e.g. Standard Contractual Clauses).
Account data is retained for as long as your account exists. Community Q&A content is retained as public content for the benefit of other travelers unless you request deletion. Content rejected during moderation is cleaned up within a reasonable period.
Wherever you are located, you can request access to, correction of, export of, or deletion of the personal data we hold about you. If you're in the EU/UK, GDPR also gives you the right to restrict or object to processing and to data portability, and the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. If you're a California resident, CCPA/CPRA gives you the right to know, delete, and not be discriminated against for exercising these rights โ we do not sell or share your personal information. This site is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal data without parental consent, please contact us so we can delete it.
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced on the site and may prompt you to reconfirm your cookie preferences.
